We can see an impressive growth of Honda in India as the company has spread its wings in Indian market by introducing best and innovative products for the customers.
According to a Senior Company Official-
”India has become the largest market in terms of retail sales for Japanese auto major Honda in the Asia Oceania Region in the first half of this fiscal and the company is looking to build on the momentum.”
According to the sources, India got the first market place for Honda in the Asia Oceania Region where the company does not include the home market of Japan and China. India grabbed this position by overtaking the market of Indonesia.
Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) President and CEO Yoichiro Ueno said,
“We have grown 22% in the first half of this fiscal and in terms of volumes (retail sales) we have become the number one market for Honda in Asia Oceania region.”
Honda has major sale of it’s new compact SUV WR-V and it’s best selling in Sedan City. Talking about the first nine months of this year, Honda’s retail sales in India has performed at 1,35,501 units as against 1,30,587 units in Indonesia.

On the basis of such a rapid growth of company Honda has announced that it would launch six new products in next three years by keeping the demands and gradually shifting preferences of customers in mind.

Apart from these, Honda Cars India (HCIL) has recorded the sales of 14,234 units in October 2017, against 15,567 units in the corresponding month last year. The company also achieved a cumulative growth of 17% selling 105,503 units during April-October in 2017 which is against 90,422 units in the corresponding period of April-October 2017.
